While we find ourselves in an important moment in healthcare history, we are proud to collaborate with numerous healthcare facilities.
With the medical industry being under immense pressure at the moment, it is important that their working environment is suited to their busy daily activities.
Since last year, there has been a drastic move to living in a world that is socially distanced and cautious of sanitation. Sanitation stations popped up all around us as we regained normality by going to the shops and work. Hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities have had to safeguard their vicinity to being as clean and hygienic as possible while still being functionally operable.
Over the last year, Infin8 Surfacing has worked with hospitals, laboratories and clinics to create working designs that facilitate the hospital’s need for clean surfacing that is hygienic, durable, and easy to work with.
We have had a working relationship with a number of blood banks and laboratories. We have the unique opportunity to offer them a surface that is non-porous, durable, and impenetrable. The benefit of this is that it is completely chemical and stain resistant- so that in the case of any spillage, there is no threat to the sanitization or workability of the countertop.
Other than the laboratories and blood banks, we have also fitted numerous reception desks and workstations within hospitals. The great advantage of our solid surfacing material is that there is no possibility for mold to form or stains to occur.
Originally, these worktop surfaces needed to be replaced every two years. However, by choosing our surfaces, it means that these new countertops will have a much longer lifespan and if anything, only need to be polished every few years instead of a full replacement.
As one can imagine, creating these designs during these times has meant that our usual process has had to be altered. While we were fitting out the working countertops in hospitals, we’ve had to take precautions to be as safe as possible for the patients and healthcare professionals who continue their day-to-day activities. Due to the projects taking place in working hospitals, we have had to ensure that we are as quiet and respectful as possible to the patients residing in the hospital.
The process also takes longer than usual with teams working independently on-site to avoid any possible exposures. These isolated teams rely on effective project and time management to allow for the following trades to continue fitting the space. This means that we need to be prepared from our side to avoid a prolonged lead time.
These projects have been incredibly important to us as we aid the healthcare sector to be able to do their job without having to worry about the surfaces that they’re working on. We are honoured to be part of helping healthcare professionals and our frontline workers through the creation of effective workspace areas.
